Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information FOUND ("we", "us") collects through foundfortrades.co.uk, why we collect it and what your rights are. We are the data controller for that information. You can contact us at hello@foundfortrades.co.uk.

What we collect

• Enquiry details. When you fill in our form or email us, we receive the details you give us: your name, business name, trade, area, phone number, email address and message.
• Customer details. If you become a customer, we also hold the information needed to build and run your website and to bill you.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and to provide our service to you.
• To send invoices and service messages to customers.
• To keep our website secure and working.

We do not sell your information and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked for them.

Our legal basis

We rely on your consent and our legitimate interest in replying when you contact us, and on our contract with you when you are a customer. We may also need to keep some records to meet legal and tax obligations.

Who we share it with

Only the suppliers we need to run the business, such as our hosting, email and payment providers. They process information on our instructions and are not allowed to use it for anything else.

Fonts

This site loads its typeface from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google, which means Google receives your IP address.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to our pages and see which ones are useful. It does not use cookies, does not collect personal details and does not follow you around other websites.

If you click Accept on our cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are visited and how people move around them. These set cookies on your device and are only switched on with your consent. If you click Decline, they are never loaded. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become customers are deleted within 12 months. Customer records are kept for as long as you are a customer and for up to six years afterwards for tax and accounting purposes.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict its use. Email hello@foundfortrades.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
