D&A Landscapes: a landscaper website built to be found

D&A Landscapes are Alex and Dean, a landscaping firm in Preston doing driveways, patios, fencing and drainage across Lancashire. Until now their work has only been on Facebook. We are building them a full website around the jobs they do and the towns they do them in.

The brief

Good work, but invisible on Google

Alex and Dean have a good name locally and a Facebook page full of happy customers. What they did not have was a way to be found by someone who had never heard of them. A homeowner in Fulwood searching Google for a new driveway or a patio would not see D&A at all, because there was no website for Google to show.

The job was to give them a proper home online: a landscaper website that explains each kind of work clearly, shows the jobs they have finished, and tells Google exactly which towns across Lancashire they cover.

How we approached it

Four decisions that shaped the site

Start with the searches

People do not search for "landscapers" as much as for the job they need: a new driveway, a patio, a fence, a drainage problem. So each of those four services has its own page, written to answer the questions customers ask before they pick up the phone.

Then the places

D&A work well beyond Preston. Each main town they cover, including Fulwood, Penwortham, Leyland, Chorley, Blackpool and Lytham St Annes, has its own page written about the work they do there. That is what lets a landscaper show up in local searches outside the town they are based in.

Let the work do the selling

Landscaping is visual. The site is built around photos of finished driveways, patios and fences, with before and after shots, alongside their real Facebook reviews, word for word.

Make calling easy

Most visitors will be on a phone. Alex and Dean each have a tap-to-call button at the top of every page and fixed to the bottom of the screen on mobile, next to a quote button.

What we built

Built around their jobs and their towns

1

A page for each service

Driveways, patios, fencing and drainage each have their own page, written around what customers ask before they ring.

2

A page for each town

Thirteen area pages, from Preston and Fulwood to Blackpool and Lytham St Annes. Each one is written about that place, not copied with the name swapped.

3

Both phone numbers on every page

Alex and Dean each have a tap-to-call button on every page, next to a quote button.

4

Their real work and real reviews

A gallery of finished jobs with before and after photos, and their Facebook reviews word for word.

5

Built to be found

Page titles written for local searches, the behind-the-scenes data Google reads, a sitemap, and an advice section that grows each month.

6

Their own look

Designed around their orange logo, so it looks like D&A, not like a template and not like us.

What happens next

Then the monthly work starts

Once the site is live, we add new pages each month and look after their Google Business Profile, which is the local SEO work that moves a trade up the results. We will add real results to this page as they come in. No made-up numbers.
